Meet the Crew
Chris & Betty Jentsch
Viticulturist & Owners
Chris grew up in the Okanagan as a fruit farmer for most of his life. He made the switch from cherries to grapes in 2002 and grew 63 acres of vinifera for 11 years before making the decision to open his own winery. In 2012, he took the leap and turned his fruit packing warehouse into a cellar and tasting room.
Paula joined our winemaking team in May of 2017. Paula brings a decade of cellar experience in various roles related to wine production.
Michael McCoy CWS
Michael joined the CCJC Team in 2015 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the tasting room as our resident Canadian Wine Scholar, WSET Certified and an ongoing "student of wine". Known for his wine resource research and published Quick Reference Guide, Michael's the guy to ask if you are looking for good sources of wine information.
Tasting Room Host
Larry has been a member of our tasting room team since 2016. A tea merchant and local town councilor Larry looks forward to assisting you in our wine shop.
Tasting Room Host
Miss Rory returns to the wineshop after a brief appearance last year at the end of the season. Rory grew up in Oliver, is a world traveller, and a new dog mother to puppy Ruby.
Wally is a Master Baker, tech savy, eccentric that pitches in when the going gets busy! He assists the winemaker during harvest, bottling and other various seasonal workbees.
Dennis has worked for Chris for over 15 years and also manages his own vineyard. He is quiet and hard working and can always be found on the property with a tool in his hand.
David comes to us as a certified welder, in additional to many other skill sets makes him an excellent addition to our team.
